We conduct examinations from a different perspective than medical doctors and apply the findings to acupuncture treatment.
Examining Body Posture Imbalance
In Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy, the greater the body's tilt, the more likely the symptoms will progress. We examine the body posture and identify the postural muscles causing the imbalance before proceeding with acupuncture treatment.
Assessing Autonomic Nervous System Function
In MSA, the autonomic nervous system often becomes unbalanced before symptoms worsen. Since dysfunctions in the autonomic nervous center affect body temperature, we analyze temperature variations to detect signs of worsening and guide acupuncture treatment accordingly.
Examining Blood Flow to the Brain
Many MSA patients experience reduced blood flow to the brain as their condition progresses. Since blood flow changes depending on posture (lying down vs. sitting/standing), we evaluate blood circulation in the most common daily postures to inform acupuncture treatment.
Stimulating Acupuncture Points Based on Examination Results
Based on examination results, we stimulate the most effective acupuncture points, optimizing treatment for better recovery in MSA patients.
